Emotional support for families
We are pleased to announce that we have been given support from Wandsworth CCG Community Grant to provide an online, experiential therapeutic support for families who have been affected by the Covid-19 lockdown. We are hoping to support the families who may have found the lockdown period particularly stressful and have experienced / are experiencing a high level of anxiety as a result. We hope to offer your family a space to reflect and process emotions as well as support with the transition back to school and “life.”
In order to access this support, you need to:
Be a Wandsworth resident.
Have children aged between 8-16 years old and who may have special educational needs including social, emotional well-being, mental health needs e.g. high level of anxiety, difficulties with managing emotions.
We will make sure that we will adjust our language to meet the child’s developmental age, however, due to the nature of this intervention, it is important that your children have adequate language skills, so that they can follow the conversations during an online session and contribute verbally.
The online sessions will involve: working with horse pictures, videos and therapeutic horse cards as an alternative to working in the arena with the horses.
Please email [email protected] if you would like to be considered for this support.
