Child and Adolescent Psychology Service

Resilient Children is an Educational, Child and Adolescent Psychology Service that provides support to parents/carers, schools, Local Authorities and Social Care to identify the needs of the children and find the best way forward to meet their educational, social and emotional needs. The work involves: broad range of assessmentswork including cognitive assessment, specific Learning difficulties-dyslexia, social and emotional needs. Assessments to support the requests for Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments. Training to teaching staff and parents on various subjects including, growth mindsets, meta-cognition & meta-learning, the impact of attachment on children's development, how to overcome the emotional barriers to learning and support the development of children's resiliency.
